Default Adding information to graphs

Is there anyway to include data points in the performance graphs. For
example, when I graph a counter over a week. I can see the different peaks
and valleys, however, it is difficult to estimate the exact points. Also, it
makes it very difficult when the y-axis isn't popluated with any information.
This happens a lot. I can't tell any points or estimate of those points on
the graph. Is there something I might be missing? or Is there a way to add
that functionality to the default reporting or to customize a report to
include that info.
