Default Bluetooth device not found by Vista

Thanks for the response Matt.

I looked through every category in Device Manager and did not find a
Bluetooth device, or one that is unknown. Also, I attempted to say Add
Legacy Hardware but Bluetooth Radios isn't event a category. I found that
odd.

Yes, there is a hardware button on the LS800 that when used on XP will
enable/disable both the wireless and bluetooth functions. However, the
button seems to do nothing under Vista (even with the Vista Motion Tablet PC
buttons driver installed). I have tried ensuring Bluetooth is turned on in
XP and then shut down and switch to Vista, but still not luck.

Okay, I have Bluetooth working now, though what I had to do was strange.
I'll chronicle it here so others may not have to go through the pain.

After Matt's email I ensured that Bluetooth was enabled at the BIOS level
since it's a built in device (it was already). I then tried various things
such as installing "legacy" hardware, but it didn't even have the Bluetooth
Radio category. I tried adding MS bluetooth drivers for things like serial
communication via bluetooth, etc. but those failed as there was no bluetooth
radio detected anyway.

Following Matt's train of thought there is a manufacturer included
application called Motion Dashboard that has teh capability of turning the
bluetooth device on and off. I've not had to install it on XP before in
order to access BT, but I thought what the heck. I ran the install for the
motion dashboard as administrator and it installed. Immediately after it
installed Vista found the BT radio and installed all the drivers for it.

I thought it was strange to have to install this application in order for
imbedded hardware to be seen.
