Can't Access Sites Remotely

I have SPS 2003 running and created team sites under sites. When I'm on the
local network, I can access all of SPS. However, when I"m remote through
SSL, I can access all of SPS EXCEPT the "Sites" area...I click and it just
sits there until it times out. Everything else is fine.

What gives?
