i have a recently installed exchange 2000 server running
on w2k, after first installing exchange i was able to
connect from home. now for some reason i can't.the
exchange server has an internal i.p. 10.0.0.200, but the
mail comes to a public i.p., the only thing that has
changed was i installed ms mail connector to use schedule+
but have since deleted the connector. as i said earlier i
could connect before the ms mail connector was installed..

Try with Outlook Express. Configure a MAPI account on it.
