I just can't zone alarm to open or to delete it via: uninstall in Start/All
Programs/ Zone Alarms.
I also try the add remove section in control panel and that doesn't work.
I KEEP GETTING A TRUE VECTOR FILE IS IN USE BY ANOTHER PROGRAM.
I TRIED TO REBOOT IN SAFETY AND NO GO.

I HAVE O.C.D. & ANXIETY ATTACKS, DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN TAKE
BEFORE I GO HIT MY MEDS.

I don't know the answer to your quersion because I never attempted to
install either. But basically, you never want to run any ustility/security
programs unless they were designed for Vista. So your best bet would be to
just not use those at all. Obviously it's too late for that on the Zone
Alarm front. If worse comes to worse, you may have to reinstall everything.
The Windows Firewall installs and goes up automatically, so you don't need
to bother with Zone Alarm. (Yes, I know about all the marketing hype about
this firewall being better than that firewall and such. But you'll be fine
with Windows Firewal).

I think I have managed to delete Zone Alarm. But it may be because of
something I already did trying to get rid of it. Can someone with the same
problem try this and see if it works for them

Start, Programs, Zone Alarm, RIGHT CLICK on Zone Alarm Uninstall and click
on Run as Administrator. It then go's straight through and deletes Zone Alarm.
