Default Can't ping other PCs

I have a Compaq 5700-T with newly installed Win98SE that can logon to
our Novell network just fine can't ping other PCs on the network, can't
ping the router, etc, so it doesn't have internet access. I have the MS
client installed and tcp/ip installed and have configured the tcp/ip
properites with the correct IP addess, sub-net, gateway, DNS, not that
all those are needed for pinging. I installed a new Nic 'cause I thought
there was a problem with the NIC. The PC also can't be pinged from other
PCs as well, but the PC can ping inself for some reason.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are there any software firewalls on this anti-ping PC? Care to post your
"ipconfig /all" just to make sure it looks OK?
