What symptoms are you seeing? We need a lot more details. Also you said
Microsoft 2000 Professional, are you talking about Windows 2000 Pro? What
is the history of this system and when did this start occuring?

On an older computer I had a serious virus problem that
required me to reformat and and reinstall windows 2000
pro. My original Cdrom failed and I replaced it. I then
reinstalled Nortons anti-virus without any problems,
however when I try to reinstall Office 2000 Professional I
get a "Please insert a Disk into Drive D:." message. I can
then insert other Cd's such as a Quicken program disk or a
audio disk. The Cdrom will recognize it.
Thanks for any help.
