changing sim gives my xda2 hard reset

When ever i change the sim for different service provider my xda2 get's a
hard reset automatically all my data is lost.
Is there any problem in my unit or something else.

My guess is that the backup battery (which is a kind of a capacitor) is not
working properly, so when you remove the main battery the unit hard-resets.

try making the sim change with the unit attached to the charger (and
