We've got a small wireless classroom that I want to demo yahoo
messenger with. The pc's are not clients on the network - they only
use the internet connection via the proxy settings in explorer.

In order to use messenger do I need to put them on the network and
install mspclnt from the server or is there an easier way.

Thanks.

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong...this is how I'm envisioning it.
First...I'm envisioning that you have all the PC's (clients) running into a
switch as is your SBS machine. Then on a second NIC in your SBS machine you
have a cable running out and into your router then from the router to the
internet connection device (modem of some sort). Could you maybe just pull
the cable (catX) the goes from your switch to your SBS machine and run it
from the switch straight into the router? Turn on DHCP on the router.
Would that work? I know....BLASPHEMY! You're bypassing all the security!!!
Blah blah...if it's temporary...*I* would try it.

When I've stuck a machine on the LAN and it's not joined... just put in
the proxy info into the IE... and then enter a username password.... if
you don't want it to do that... you can ...well... take ISA back to the
way that I used to do it when I was less paranoid and open up an
all/all/all setting as per the KB on Mariette's ISA page at
