Default Client can't login to domain

I have an XP Pro client PC and a users cannot login (domain login) on
their PC. One work around is to add the user to the local users and
groups, but there MUST be a way to do it from the domain controller. Or
maybe I missed something when setting it up?

Thanks,

Bill

Hi - this probably isn't the best group for a question like this. In the
future try posting such in microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web, or maybe
an AD group. It isn't a group policy issue, most likely.

That said: what is the error the user receives? Can anyone log into the
domain from this computer at all? When you reply, also include an (unedited)
ipconfig /all from this workstation & from your DC.

Hello Bill,

Is the machine domain member? What exact error message is displayed?

Best regards

Well ... fiddling with the "Allow Log On" group policy on the DC seems
to have fixed it. It didn't seem to take effect right away though.

Thanks,

Bill

What exactly did you change, and in which policy?
