You might also want to add to that KB article that this same error occurs
when installing SP1 for MOM 2005. Somehow I had MOM 2005 installed with the
password of the DAS account containing a "|" character. I originally thought
that my MOM installation was somehow corrupted, but it turns out that just by
changing this password everything installed just fine.
