Default configuring program

my C drive was corrupted and I made F: my system drive. I
then transferred most of the programs from C: to F:
directly into the F:\programfile\....but when I go to
the "START","ALL PROGRAM" they are not there and when i
go START,MY COMPUTER and right click and EXPLORE they are
there. also when I double click on the F drive I get the
following message "Please go to control panel to install
and configure system components." where exactly should I
go and do? Thanks.

Did you reinstall WinXP on the F:\ and then move your program files from C:
to F: ? When you installed your programs
many of them register their files in the WinXP Registry. So they would still
be looking in the C:\ though the Registry is no
longer there. Save yourself grief and do a clean install of WinXP on F:
Again, Start>All Programs are just shortcuts to
the programs. The shortcuts are also looking for C:\program files.
