Hello!
One user always get the follwing message when he tries to refresh his pivot
table:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------
Excel cannot find OLAP cube XYZ. Either the OLAP database has been changed
or you don't have permissons to connect to the cube.
Consult your database administrator.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------
Other users at the same client do not have this problem.
The difference between this user and the others is that he
was a member of two roles.
Role A: can access n+2 cubes, no restrictions on dimensions, has some 10
members
Role B: can access same n cubes, the same dimensons as as role A with the
same
restrictions but for one dimension (this dimension, D, has
custom restrictions),
and only one member
The above mentioned cube XYZ does not contain this dimension D.
Q1: Any info on how roles actually add up?
So far i have tried a few things.
0. Test my user word
{A+B}
1. Remove the user from roleA. {A}
2. Put it back and remove him from roleB. {B}
3. Remove him from both roles (no success

{}
4. Make him a member of Olap-Admins on the server. {O}
5. Add him to role A again.
{O+A}
6. Add role B again (removing roleA). {O+A}
7. Both A and B again
{O+A+B}
Never any success.
At the same time i have logged him on/off his machine,
restarted his machine, restarted the OLAP-service on
the server.
Q2: Has somebody seen similar behavior? And ...
Q3: Any suggestions? Solutions? Anything?
TIA
