I have a couple of NT 4.0 workstation machines that I
cannot upgrade from sp5 to sp6. When I upgrade to sp6 the
event viewer shows an error message "system could not
allocate work item 24 times in 60 seconds". The system
generates a new message every 60 seconds with a different
number of attempts. In addition, client machines can no
longer see this machine, and the CPU spikes every 5 or 6
seconds. Thanks in advance.
