DHCP Server Shuts Down every hour
Hello all
We have installed a new server running Windows Small Business Server 2003 to an existing network and removed an old Windows 2000 server. Since day 1 on the new server we have had trouble with DHCP Server. I have Authorized it and activated it, it will give IP Addresses and everything is fine for 1 hr. As soon as it has been running for 60 min it shuts off the DHCP Server Service and creates an event ID in the System log. the ID Contains the Following
Event ID: 1053 Category: None Type: Error Source: DHCPServe
The DHCP/BINL service on this computer running Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server has encountered another server on this network with IP Address, 10.0.2.34, belonging to the domain:
The IP Address listed is the Static IP Address of the new server
I have already tried to remove and reinstall the DHCP Server and re-authorized the server. I have made sure that it is the only authorized server running but it still shuts down. It shuts down at exactly 1 hr after starting
Does anyone have any ideas
Thanks in advance. JCThePCGuy
