Default dialing locations

I asked a similar question when trying to fathom out my new XDA-II. At the
time somebody explained that the "Locations" feature is only used when doing
modem connections and not for voice/sms calls from the contacts.

Most of my concerns about IDD contact dialing were covered by the revelation
that the GSM service provider's software takes the full IDD string and
decides itself whether you are making a local call (and therefore drops the
IDD/area prefix) or not.

This seems to work for most situations - except my UK contacts, where the
domestic areas codes have an "extra" leading "0" over the codes entered in
full IDD format with country-code. I haven't found a way to accommodate
this automatically.
