I am taking a course on line and we do alot of discussion
boards. However, I can not get into my disscussion board
to participate because everytime a box comes up that says
I need to download java virtual machine for the page to
come up. I hit download and nothing has happened. If
anyone could help asap that would be great!

Since MS is not going to offer their version to anyone not currently
running it and stop supporting it in the future, you're most likely
better off getting the Sun java runtime package:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/download.html

Make sure that your browser is CLOSED when installing any java package
and that your antivrus program has been temporarily disabled during the
download and installation'
