Enable third-party browser extensions* -- cannot check or uncheck; it is
greyed out. How can I enable? I am using IE7 on Windows XP SP2

I found the solution -- When domain policy is enforced, if you are an
administrator of the pc, then go to registry and set the flag to yes under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Int ernet Explorer\Main. You
may need to set this everytime you restart the pc.

Playing with registry is not a good idea..so try using gpedit.msc which is a
tool designed for the sole purpose of managing machines and users in a domain.
U can open the gpedit.msc and goto Computer Configuration->admin templates->
win components -> IE -> internet control panel -> advanced page and than on
the right hand side find a policy "Allow third party browser extensions" and
do wat u like. And also once u will set the policy here either enable or
disable u won't have to do the registry modification after every bootup.
