Default Error Message

I get an error message when I try to run any of the
following programs: AVG's antivirus internet update;
Quicken's Internet access option; Juno; and my Palm Hotsync
internet access. The message is "Instruction at
0x77f88d33 referenced memory at 0x00000018. The memory
could not be read. Click o.k. to terminate. When I click
o.k. the program terminates but Windows NT 4.0 service pack
6.0a does not crash. I have cable modem access.

All three of these programs use IE explorer to access the
internet. I followed Microsoft's instructions to repair a
damaged inetcpl.cpl. I deleted it and then tried to
reinstall IE5. I cannot install IE. It stops midway.
I've tried installing IE 5 from Quicken's program cd and
from Juno's and the same error occurs.

How do I get IE5 or 5.5 (since IE 6 won't run on NT) back
on my computer?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Already done. I use Ad-Aware regularly. There is no
spyware. There is no internet control panel in Control
Panel since I deleted inetcpl.cpl as directed prior to
trying to re-install IE. Thanks for your suggestion. Any
other ideas?

I would suspect a problem with your modem drivers. Update them.

My Internet Explorer keeps giving me an error
message 'Error on kernel32.DLL'. Can someone tell me what
it means?

The error message "SVCHOST.EXE has generated errors and
will be closed by windows"You will need to restart the
program . An error log is being created" come out after a
few minutes when I open the Internet Explore.

Then the web address with underscore can not be open;
picture can not be saved, the modem can not be disconneted.

Your advice will be appreciated.

My sys (1) windows 2000 (2) Internet Explore 5.0

Thanks!

I just cannot get rid of that error. I have read and re-
read the information and tried about everything. In
addition, now I can sign in to the internet, but get a
blank page. Any more ideas?
