ahh

I have two pcs linked by USB cable and hub. I use one when working from home
and the rest of the family uses the other. They had been connected as a
"network" for months without problem. I back up to second pc. Second pc
prints via the first one.

Only one user account on each pc but yesterday I thought it would be a good
idea to have a separate user account on second pc for each of us. Changed
name on the original account and set up four new user accounts.

Got as far as the first one before I got bored. Returned everything (I
thought) to original state including the name on the original account. Now
the pcs won't connect together and I get message "error occurred when
reconnecting". Cannot print from the second pc. I have checked with
ipconfig to ensure that Zone Alarm firewall on both machines recognises the
other, and re-set networking wizard etc. Succeeded on one occasion but when
I switched the pcs off and then back on again I got the same problem as
before and I have not been able to get reconnected again.

I can still print from a laptop via the first pc through the same hub, but
the laptop won't connect to the second pc either (it did before).

Seems I have upset settings somewhere in the second pc while altering the
user accounts. Can anyone suggest what I might have done and how I might
repair it?
