Exchange Server mailbox item number

Hi,

When I checked the exchange server 5.5 mailbox status from Exchange server
administrator, the "total item" number of the user mailbox is different
from showing on Outlook client.
For example, from Exchange server administrator, show me: User-A have 60
items on his mailbox, but when I go to Outlook client, counter all of folder
under user-A, only
20+ email inside.

Is it something wrong with user mailbox?
How to solve this problem?

Trust the Outlook client to actually return a more accurate number.
The Exchange report is just not always correct or up to date.

That said, the item count on Exchange includes all items - calendar,
contacts, etc.
