Ok, What is involved in getting external users connected to my LCS server? i
have read about the external connector, now is that a peice of software or
just a license? i am running with the eval version right now. And before we
buy i have to prove that we can get external users connected up.

Alternatively you could always establish VPN connections, too.


The external connector is just a license. It allows you to connect
an unlimited number of external users (really external, that means
no employees, temp staff, etc.). It is just an alternative to buying
separate CALs for each external user. Choose the licensing model
that means less effort to you - when speaking of money and management. :-)

What features do that external users need? IM and Presence
for sure. Do they also need data/audio/video?
