Default FSMO Role transfer on demotion

Curious - Why this message in Event Viewer on/after demotion of DC1 this
afternoon even though I had successfully transferred all 3 domain-level FSMO
roles to DC2 yesterday morning? (DCs are in same switch, btw) - I am sure
DC2 roleholder for all 3 cause logged in Event Viewer, showed in ADUC,
confirmed by Ntdsutil and dcdiag tests to view/confirm availability of
Operations Masters as per MS doc instructions.

The operations master role represented by the following object has been
transferred to the following domain controller at the request of a user.

Object:
CN=Infrastructure,DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=us,DC=corp, DC=abc,DC=com
Domain controller:
CN=NTDS
Settings,CN=DC2,CN=Servers,CN=NY,CN=Sites,CN=Confi guration,DC=corp,DC=abc,DC
=com
Previous operations master role owner:
CN=NTDS
Settings,CN=DC1,CN=Servers,CN=NY,CN=Sites,CN=Confi guration,DC=corp,DC=abc,DC
=com

Thanks,
Joan

Hi Joan,

Thanks for your posting here.

It seems to be a information not error. It can be logged when AD replicate
the information of role change to other DCs in Domain.

If you did not get any problem in the domain, I think you can ignore it
safely.

Have a nice day!
