I am using WinXP Home, updated to SP2. I am running out of Hard Drive space
and will install a larger capacity HD. My question is this::

Is it possible to simply Copy the entire contents of the 'old' HD to the new
HD, or is it necessary to install the OS from CD to the new HD and hopefully
Copy everything else? I am assuming to perform either operation, it is
possible to do so setting-up the 'old' HD as Master and the new HD as Slave.
I would then remove the 'old' HD and only the new HD would remain.

OR is it necessary for me to use the "Files & Settings Transfer Wizard",
etc.? That is something I've never done before.

Any and all help &/or advice will be sincerely appreciated and not taken for
granted. Thank You all in advance...

use the drive copy tools that come with the new drive. they will copy entire
partitions

Use Symantec "Ghost" This will coy old to new at the bit level... No
reinstalls are necessary...
