Default How to change the default date parameters on Exchange Report

1. On the report page select the "Properties" tab at the top.
2. Select the "Parameters" option on the left.
3. On the Parameters page you can set defaults for any of the parameters you
would like.

Default How to change the default date parameters on Exchange Report

Some of MOM users are waiting for the syntax we have to type to use different
"variable" dates than the default ones.
If I plan a report running each monday, taking data for 1 month instead of 1
week (by default), how must I enter begin date & end date. I know how to set
the schedule date, but not to set these dates. If I entered a fixed date as
begin date, each week, the report will begin at this specific day, not 1
month before the end date.

Hope I was clear enough...

Yes, I know this is *where* you go to set the parameters. I am just
not familiar with the variables themselves. For example, in MOM2000,
you could use /LASTMONTH or /LASTWEEK. What do we use in MOM2005?

The MOM 2005 Management Pack Developer Development Guide \ Chapter 8 -
Reporting \ Custom Reporting, shows a sample report and parameters that are
acceptable.

I looked there before but it doesn't show appropriate variables for
BeginDate and EndDate.
However, I called MS PSS and found this as an acceptable workaround. I
can change the default value of number of days it pulls data.

You need to pull the Report Definition File (.RDL) from SQL Reporting
Services. Edit the RDL file and look for a field called :
fn_GetDateRange(1)

The number in the parentheses is the number of days back the report
will look for data.

Set it to 8 for the past week
Set it to 31 for the past month
