how to put 500 files to filesystem of
Smartphone2002/PocketPC2002 emulator?
these 500 files must be transfered to emulator
of 2002 version but not just in one directory
but with many many subdirectories. We need
these files in emulator, to test the application
that needs them (so many)
during the development!

I was thinking to use CAB for this purpose
but it seems very very difficult to make such CAB
automatically...

could anybody please help us with this problem???

Hi

you can connected the emulator to ActiveSync using a null modem cable and
then copy necessary files using the ActiveSyc explorer. See SDK
do***entation for details.

You can probably mount a shared network drive on the emulator and copy in
all the files from the shared network drive using the File Explorer of the
emulator.

it is possible in Smartphone 2003 emulator but not in
Smartphone 2002!

solution with null modem seems cranky to me because it
involves hardware...

that what we used was:
- we have written a program in VC++ for regular windows
that was scanning directories and files and generating
proper INF file for CAB creation
- we generated the freaking CAB out of this
- we transfered CAB to the smartphone emulator to start
menu and it decompressed and copied in this way over 500
files and hundreds of directories...
