Default html page wordwrap

Hello,

Does anyone know the link to an html redirector which wordwraps the html
page on the small screen of the PDA so that you don't have to scroll
horizontally?

Thanks,
Alex

first... have you tried "fit to screen?"

Google is probably going to be your best bet for proxy reformatters.

I am looking to use the reformatter proxy on the smartphone, and I don't
believe it has the "fit to screen" option in its version of PIE, thats why
the proxy should prove very useful as the HTML would be formatted before it
ever reaches the client. I remember the link to the proxy was posted
somewhere intended for the PocketPC, so I decided to post this question on
this newsgroup and not on public.smartphone. I tried searching Google for
"html redirector", "fit to screen", and "no horizontal scroll", but no
luck... However I did a search on "proxy for reformat html into vertical"
and there are some useful links that come up that mention a couple of
proxies. Sqweezer is one, but they charge you for it. The one I remember was
free. If someone knows a good free proxy, please post it!

Thanks,
Alex

First, suggest microsoft.public.smartphone for this and other smartphone
questions as you will get much better response there.

I can't find my url for the reformatter, but have to assume that there
is a fit to screen toggle somewhere in the smartphone pie.

took a quick look on the web but couldn't find them... however, a
starting point might be;

http://www.pocketpcmag.com/mobile.htm
http://www.palmzone.net/mobile/mobileweb.htm
http://www.smartphone2000.com/links.htm

I posted to this newsgroup because I think I orignally saw the link posted
here, and the reformatter is not smartphone-specific.

You are right, there is a fit-to-screen option, right there in
options->general, duh.. However most sites still don't fit on the screen
even when this option is enabled. The resolution shrinks but the horizontal
scroll does not go away, as for many pages reducing the resolution is not
enough.

Found the proxy that I was looking for though - http://www.jennerresearch.com -
works great on both PocketPC or smartphone, no more horizontal scroll.

Thanks,
Alex
