There's no IM in Exchange 2003. Use MS Live Communications Server.

Mike:
I wanted to catch this question since I saw Neil's response.
Unfortunately Live Communications Server will not operate on clustered
servers. I have placed it on my Exchange Front-End servers, which I use for
OWA, successfully.
LCS 2005 Enterprise will have load balancing, but will not function in a
clustered environment. The SQL back-end can be clustered, but the LCS
product can not sit on a clustered server. What it will do is allow you to
treat the different Enterprise servers as a "server pool"
There is a great newsgroup...microsoft.public.livecomm.general. It's part
of the Office product line, so if you are using Microsoft's web-based
newsreader you will have to drill over to it that way.

Yeah, I was trying to say just to use LCS in general, not necessarily on a
cluster. Bad wording on my part, and thanks for the clarification.
