I have a requirement to install a non plug'n'play modem programmatically.

Given a modem INF file and a com port I would like to automatically install
the modem on the given com port. This sounded simple enough until I
attempted to work out how to do it. I have searched through the Win2000 DDK
help and MSDN for hints (Setupdi API) but so far without success. I know
it's possible as the standard Modems applet in Control Panel allows you to
do this.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
