I'm having problems with earlier (pre-v7) versions of IE not displaying as I
want them to, when using css - is this the right newsgroup to post this sort
of question to? If not, please could someone suggest a better one? The
people at the pure css newsgroups such as
comp.infosystems.http://www.authoring.stylesheets aren't interested in trying to
solve IE-specific problems.

The structure of the MS NGs has become a little dated. Reply here with your
question and cross post it to microsoft.public.scripting.jscript, I know
that seems wrong but trust me
