Can someone please clear something up for me...

I don't currently have a test machine to try this -
otherwise I'd just try it myself...

Can you switch from "per seat" to "per server" without re-
installing the OS. I have searched the net and read
conflicting stories...Some say you have to re-install the
OS, others say you can switch back an forth but you
violate your licensing agreement (so its just a legal
thing).

I have got as far as going into the licensing manager and
it looks as though I can swap it (but I haven't pressed
the button yet) - but I don't want to do it if it will
cause damage to the Server.

Any ideas?
