If you have a pair of HIS servers with redundant LUs and on one of them you get a network failure between the server and the host - what is the chain of events ?

Will a service fail on the HIS server due to no connectivity, forcing the clients to use the other server ? Or does the service still run and the clients timeout and eventually get redirected.

Any info on how this works would be great - I've had a look in the resource kit and the couple of KB articles but they don't go into too much detail.

Yes, the connection will go down on the HIS Server that the network failure occurs on. The fact that the service/lu is unavailable replicates round the other HIS Servers. So when the client
asks for another connection, it goes to a server with a working connection.
