memory allocation too low yet have unallocated GB
It's not a part that needs fixed. You've obviously misconfigured your
drive partitioning, as you suggested you might have done.
The /only/ fix for this nightmare is to repartition, reformat, and
reload Windows XP. It would appear that when you installed XP you only
created a 2GB partition -- which is not enough to run Windows XP.
Hint... make ONE C: partition using the maximum amount of space
available and don't try to get involved in partitioning the drive.
Note: You could also purchase a copy of PartitionMagic, install it, and
extend the C: drive to it's full capacity, but, alas, you have no space on
the C: drive to install any extra software. So that's not a functional
option at this moment.
