Default msdaora



hi,
i want to connect to a oracle database with the msdaora-
provider. i can open the connection, can read make queries
etc. but i want to update the oracle tables with visual
basic 6.0. is there any possibility to do this? i read
that there is only read-only is that correct?

The Oracle provider installed on my system allows me to update...I don't
know if it has any bearing but I also have the Oracle client
installed...where did you read that it was read only?

Oracle server side cursors are always read-only, and never support updates.
Client side cursors offer full update, insert, and select capabilities.
