Was wondering if someone from MS could advise on this:

I have developers coding applications using .NET framework v.2.0
From .NET system requirements this requires XP SP2 to be installed.

Our production environment is SP1 however. Will the developed applications
be
compatible with our production environment?

You are asking in the wrong place. This isn't Microsoft - this is a
peer-to-peer newsgroup providing tech support for the Windows XP operating
system. While occasionally a Microsoft employee may post here, for the most
part helpers are volunteers who do not work for the company.

You would do better to ask in a .Net developers' newsgroup or call your
Microsoft contact directly. Here is a list of all the MS newsgroups so you
