The fulltext index reduces noice. But I want noice !

If I look in a table full of resumes and I'am looking for
someone who has ".net" knowledge then the noice filter
will remove the "." from ".net" so anyone
with "networking" knowledge will also be found.

Is there a way to use the speed of the full text index and
still make exact matches thus disabling the noice
reduction filter of the index ?
