NT server install does not see hard drive

I'm installing NT server on an unformatted 9 GB hard
drive. I've used fdisk to create a 4 GB partition, but the
install process still does not see the hard drive. It
fails after looking for mass storage devices. Do I need a
device driver for my hard drive, and can these drivers be
easily located?

You will need a floppy with your hard disk adapter driver. Check your hard
disk adapter manufacturers web site for an NT4 driver, then follow the
steps in this MS Knowledge Base article:

If you've used fdisk to create fdisk to create a 4gb partition, you have
created a fat32 partiton.
Thats no good for NT. Create a FAT16 partition.
