Default OnePoint Database Removed

I have removed the OnePoint database from my SQL Server
and am attempting to reinstall the MOM database to the
same server. After I removed the OnePoint database, I
stopped/restarted SQL services to verify the database was
gone. No problems at that time.

When I try to install the MOM database on the same SQL
server, MOM tells me that the name of the SQL server has
changed and that I need to reinstall SQL. The funny thing
is that the prerequisite log tells me that SQL 2000 and
SQL SP3a are installed. I cannot continue the install.

Any ideas or suggestions? Rebuilding the entire SQL
server is not an option.

Thanks - Scott

If you are trying to completely reinstall MOM and blow all the data away you
should uninstall the product and then run the Cleanup Tool from the MOM 2005
Resource Kit. For MOM 2000, this tool is on the MOM CD but is not as good.

Regards,

Andy.
