PC won't start after SP4 install
I downloaded the Service Pack 4 after receiving
a "CRITICAL UPDATE" notice from your company, thinking
that it might improve some critical areas of performance
or security or whatever. It took quite a while to download
and install and so I thought to myself- this must be a big
deal. Only problem is my PC won't even start after the
installation was completed. I've just uninstalled Service
Pack 4 after booting in safe mode- it took quite a long
time- (patience required while I fumed away). My PC
started no problem. But I have to say I'm very unimpressed
by Microsoft- I thought it should be a given that you
should be able to kick start the damn machine after
downloading a "CRITICAL UPDATE" Service Pack.
Now can someone from Microsoft explain in plain English
what I did wrong?
