Personalising using SQL server query

Access couldn't handle my data file as it was too large
so I imported data into SQL. When I send my job to my
network 70 page per minute laser, I'm getting only about
10 pages per minute. Is this symptomatic of my PC which is
quite powerful or can something simple be done to improve
this performance
