Default Problems With SMTP Local

Hi Everyone,

Again with another problem.

I have an ISA Server 2000 and an Exchange 2003 server (on differents
servers) and if I try to connect to the SMTP (that is also on the Exchange
Server) it just shows a blank screen... That happens when I use the External
IP, but if use the internal works fine.

Any idea with this problem?

Gracias!!

Alex

I did. I use the Method 1, my ISA and my Exchange are in different servers.
I can connect to others SMTP or POP3 servers outside my network, also I can
connecto to my Exchange SMTP and POP3 from outside the network, but I cannot
connecto to my SMTP or POP3 inside my network using the External IP, but if
I use the name of the server or the internal IP works fine.

But I need to use the External IP...

Any idea?

Regards,

Alex

Seems to me its the DNS thats giving the internal ip instead of the
external, as it works fine from the external.

So all is fine isnt it?...I mean i dont see anything wrong there.

I think everything is working fine, and I think I should be able to connect
me to the local SMTP using the external IP from inside. When I make a telnet
to the External IP Port 25 the screen just go blank, but if I use the
internal IP works fine.

Thanks,

That might work if you use the fwc. Other than that all is working properly.
