Default Process for creating a custom WSS 3.0 theme?

I am looking to create a custom WSS 3.0 theme that can be deployed on
different servers. I have already found the following do***ent:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa979310.aspx

My issue is with the development/testing process of creating a custom theme.
It appears that once a theme is applied to a site, the site caches the theme
and no longer looks at the file system for changes. Is this the case?

If so, that makes for *extremely* tedious development. For every change made
to the CSS file on the file system, I then need to delete the cached files
out of the test team site, and reapply the theme. That adds hours and hours
on the process. There has to be a better way to test changes while developing
a custom theme for WSS 3.0, right?

Any tips or advice?

Thanks,

Jess

You can use a Content Editor Web Part. Add the CEWP to the site home page in
one of the Web Part Zones.

Then use the Source Editor and add a style block. For example:

<style>
..ms-nav {display: none}
</style>
