any chance there is do***entation about how to decipher the properties
column (image datatype) of the rulegroup table? I need to find all rules
that generate an alert and what alert severity it will create.

Another possibility is to convert your MPs to XML using the AKM2XML tool in
the resource kit. Then you can walk the XML and find the informaiton that
you are looking for
