Default Profile lsot

HI all:

I have a small test network that has one DC running WS 2003 and had 1 client
hooked into it. I had to pull the server offline, configure it for some
tests, and then reconfigure it back to the DC for my LAN.

When I plugged it back into my little LAN, the client had lost its
connection, so I had to rejoin it to the domain (the domain had the same
name, but it was a fresh install). SO of course I lost all my profile
settings.

So my question is if there is anyway to recover my profile? I have 2
folders:

C:\do***ents and settings\username
C:\do***ents and settings\username.domain

so I tried copying all the files from the username folder into the
username.domain folder, but that didn't turn out so well. The biggest issue
is that I use the QuickLaunch bar a lot, and move a lot of stuff from
Accessories and Admin Tools to the QuickLaunch bar, so now those icons are
gone and I don't know how to get them back...

Any and all help is appreciated.

John.
