Default Profile question

Hi,

I have changed the address profile schema (using commerce server's Bizdesk)
and created a few new properties. When I save the address profile I get no
error when saving GeneralInfo.Numero (ie), but when I try to read it always
returns NULL.

For the default properties everything works fine.

Does anyone has any idea.

Thanks in Advance,
Gustavo Badauy

Here's some thoughts:

On the server console, start CommerceServer Manager and drill down to the
Address profile. See if you can validate the profile.

I had a similar situation where I extended the UserObject improperly.
Initially, I added some char(64) feilds to the UserObject table, and tried
using these new fields in the profile definition. All seemed OK, but the
Validation step failed.

Someone pointed out that I needed to add fields of type nvarchar(255) for a
profile. I changed the types, recreated the data objects, then mapped them
into the profile. This time it validated properly.

Like you, I was able to interact with the profile through code, with no
indication that anything was wrong, except that the data seemed "garbled".

Hope this helps.

Tomas,

I was able to validate the profile without any problem. About creating the
fields in the table, this should be done in Profile Catalog\ Data
Sources\Data Objects\ Addresses ?

Thanks

I have realized what was wrong...
I didn't have created the collumns in Data Objects\Address, after creating
it and changing it on the database it validaded successfully
