Default Question: Windows 2k server - 5 clients?

There is a lot more two these operating systems that # of
users. Server gives you DNS, DHCP, Terminal services,
etc. that Pro does not. Not to mention that server is the
only way to install full SQL or Exchange.

If you just want to host a simple local website, go for
Pro, but if you want a server you have to buy a server
license. In fact if you host a website on the Internet, I
believe, that licensing requires you to get a per server
license and not per seat.

You would pay more because Win 2k Pro can ONLY support 10 concurrent
connections. Win 2k Server (depending on the hardware) you can support
thousands of concurrent connections. Just buy more Client Access Licenses.

You already got the answer in you earlier thread.

The CAL has nothing to do with the number of connections
through IIS, they are all anonymous.

This is actual logins, LAN connections or TS connections.
