Default real update or hack

I received the email appended below this evening. I am
naturally I am a little suspicious so I checked the
windows update facility and I could not find the suggested
corresponding download on the MS site.

Is it possible that this is a new trojan hack like the
Barclays Bank scam? Can anyone comment?

Thanks for considering this.
