First accept all outstanding updates to the task. Then set remaining work on the assignment(s) to zero and publish the change. Then you can delete the task. Keep in mind that you should only delete tasks that never accrued actual work, otherwise you orphan actual work the same way you orphan remaining work; the other side of the double edge sword.. -- Gary L.
