Default remote authentication

I'm totally confused on the credentials needed for running scripts on remote
machines. I have a dozen machines ina a workgroup (NO domain) that I would
like to connect to and extract some hardware information. The only way I've
been successful is by passing the user name (Administrator) and an exact
password match. I am signed on to my machine with full Admin rights
although my account is not named Administrator. I've used wbemtest and
passed every combination of impersonation level and authentication with no
success UNLESS I provide the exact match on admin/password.
Is there no way for me as an admin to connect to these WORKGROUP machines
without knowing the Admin password on each machine? Thanks

Hi

Sorry, that is one of the downsides of having the computers in a
workgroup and not a domain...

He is saying :

latterly win95 and win98 were domain controllers.

Lately as it proved that poeple don't care even about war.

You can now purchase a Microsoft OS that is a

DOMAIN CONTROLLER.
