Why do you need it to be a cluster? Is there a reason that you can't use DFS
with replication? FYI, Windows Server 2008 R2 provides full support for DFS and clustering. -- Russ Kaufmann, MVP, MCSE: Messaging and Security, MCT, MCITP, MCTS and other stuff ClusterHelp.com, a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner Web http://www.clusterhelp.com Blog http://msmvps.com/clusterhelp |

Is this remote site for disaster recovery purposes or do you plan on
writing to thew data at the remote site as well? If it is for disaster recovery, you may consider using a 3rd party host based replication product that can take you cluster data and replicate it to a remote site. The remote site can be a 3rd node in your cluster or just a stand alone server used solely for data protection. There are a few solutions on the market, including the one from my company, SteelEye DataKeeper. http://www.steeleye.com/products/windows/datakeeper.php |
